How the finder decides
Daytime high is the 1991–2020 average daily maximum temperature for the month, and rainy days the average number of rainy days, both as printed in the weather table on each place's page; the definition of a rainy day follows that page's source. Quieter than an average month means the month held under 8.3% of the place's 2025 tourist nights, as rounded on its page. A month has to pass every choice to count.123
Averages hide variation: a month that suits you on average can still bring a heatwave or a wet week. The busy-or-quiet share is one year's pattern for a whole country or prefecture, not for a single town.
